KIMERALD "A Name that Stands as ONE and ONLY ONE"

Note: This is a guest blog written by a dear friend who is as crazy about Kimerald as me :) ....and just as frustrated from the unfairness of it all. WE ONLY WANT KIMERALD...FOREVER!

I think ABS is again starting with their game plan of separating Kimerald. In my opinion, is not the best thing to do at this time for any of their major projects like movies or another soap opera. I heard that Kim is going to have an MMK with another partner. Fine, as long as there is no love scenes/kissing scenes since this is not the only way to make a story realistic as some directors/writers claim. Giving life to a story cannot be measured only by intimate scenes, other strategy might even be more effective. Gerald's YS is about to conclude, or is it already over?

Other fans say, you are not truly a Kimerald fan if you do not support separate projects but I say not supporting separate projects is not a true measure of loving and supporting Kimerald. Many of us has access to Internet, few probably understand and has the privilege to view the real thing about them but the vast majority of these fans are still the silent ones who do not have access in Internet like us or simply do not want to use Internet. These great number of fans only rely on what they read on papers, hear on interviews, see on T.V. and movies and these are the ones who are more sensitive and in as much as I do not want to use the word, the most selfish and really will not share either Kim nor Gerald to other partners because they want the purity they see in this tandem to stay longer. They look at Kimerald as one body, to separate them is to put them in coma.

I happen to know of a particular fan group of Kimerald, all professionals yet humble but based in different parts of the globe, they have close connection and interaction. This group is a big supporter of Kimerald in terms of quite big finances. Kimerald do not know this group exists but the members are always around. They don't ask to be thank to or be given appreciation. They don't even want to be known. Some of them were already there ever since pbbte and yet don't reveal themselves. They love the KG tandem so very much but they are so solid than any solid fan we know. For that I am afraid that they will go away if separation for Kimerald persists.

To confine ourselves in only the Internet and threads is not an accurate measure of how many out there disagree or agree with separation, you have to get out, search and talk to people, go to remote places, talk to people, spend your money to do this, use your valued time and effort, travel and when you get back to your shell facing your computers again, you may understand that maybe only 20% of the fans are lucky enough to see and get close to Kimerald in person, and perhaps has an idea of their real relationship. But what about that 80%, do you want to lose this great majority by separating Kimerald at this time when competition in showbiz is getting tighter and tighter specially about love teams. Kimerald tandem already has an edge as they are the most popular and most loved...they started as such from the reality show and that's the main reason why the fans love them as one so much. Let us admit, Filipino people regardless of age and gender are avids for love and this is the very first thing why they love Kimerald. These people imagine, they hope, they dream. Take these away and what will remain?

I had the luck to know from one of ABS-CBN Top personnel that they do a scientific, psychological and feasibility studies and that they also make surveys before they proceed with any project and select the artist that fits the role... I just wonder how they do that, who and what are the subjects they use?, when they make surveys who do they ask? where is their business territory and how come that it's always the KG fans whom they defy? why is the KG fans' request always at the very last of their so called studies thereby putting Kimerald at the very last of their priorities?

I do not see any reason why I have to believe that ABS is fair to Kimerald and their fans. Every angle that I look I do not see fairness for Kim and Gerald and to their fans. The projects of their favorite stars are left and right, one after another sometimes overlapping and not to forget they are quality projects, masterpiece stories with competent directors and writers. I do not mean that ABS must give KG overlapping or left and right projects, they need rest too, but at least put them in the line up so we know that after PNK there is an upcoming movie together and after KTM there is another soap opera for them together in which they are the real focus of the story with profound and more challenging roles that qualify them for awards. These are two very talented stars and deserve to have better projects. Sorry, I am a Kimerald fan not an ABS-CBN fan so forgive me for being bias if I am. I don't mean to sound prejudice, just my keen observation.

Are they waiting for us to consider and accept separate projects before they do something? Well, this is another story, is it so hard to accept that the bulk of Kimerald fans goes with the love team only.....together.....a tandem, specially the silent majority.

Whose suppose to give in, ABS/SC who owns the business? or us, the customers who feeds them with revenues for their business? It is true that it is not only Kimerald who generates these revenues because they have other big stars too, but if they will only consider and accept the fact that Kimerald contributes huge profit to their business, they probably would stand down and stop defying us. But the fact is, they don't regard Kimerald as one of their top ranking money making machine.

Let me go back on the success of HT and Friends here in the U.S. recently....who impacted the huge success?, it was the presence of KIMERALD, but did they ever recognize it, instead though subtle it was featured in SNN April 5 episode that someone else powered the success of the show, how come, because even all the other stars with them can honestly attest that it was Kimerald who did just that. In UKG , when an anchor host mentioned HT shows, the names of Kim and Gerald were even left out, even Richard's name was mentioned but oh no, not Kimerald. Yet thanks to e-live for the interview in the airport when Kimerald arrived in the Phil.

The awards they got no matter how little in their eyes has to be recognized, but did they ever? Credits that are due to them was never given, recognitions that they do rightfully deserve are always undermined. While for the others just a mere haircut is already in the news, a father's scorn is suddenly turned into a positive and natural characterization. Some stars' bad attitude and habits are turned into sweetness and affirmative cover ups. Some are consistent guests or a daily news in some talk shows, are there no other?

When TFC transformed their schedules, who got kicked out on double time slots?...the Kimerald soap opera. If not for the KG fans left and right e-mail requests, TFC would just leave it the way they wanted it. When SC movie PNK got a blockbuster hit in the U.S., did they ever write it or mention it in any news segment of their network?, well, it's a Kimerald movie. In the Phil. when there was a left and right block screening of PNK, was it ever mentioned in any of ABS talk shows? guess what again, it's Kimerald. When there's an editing or technical problem in ABS, whose soap opera got affected?....the Kimerald soap opera, altered by the longest ever tvc scenario, I wonder if this Commercial episode would be in the top rank rating in Mega and TNS.

Are all these just mere coincidences or intentional, who knows? Who has the power to punch a giant network whose underlying principle is customer satisfaction first????????

On the downside, some Kimerald fans right now are again in disagreement, who is better and who has more between Kim and Gerald. Please, do not try to push the button of professional rivalry between Kim and Gerald. Although in a forum, all opinions must be respected and is valid, but as a Kimerald fan, there is no need to create rivalry between the two. They are both the best, no one is more or less than the other. Why not just leave this matter to them because they know better. Their personal relationship is much, much bigger than these issues of creating professional rivalry.

Happy 4th Anniversary, Kimeralds

4 years on and Im still here as a Kimerald...stronger than ever! April 23, 2006 marks the day I fell in love with the Kimerald...which they were not yet known as that. They were simply housemate Kim & Gerald then but as early as that first night, I have been a fan of their tandem. Take note, there was NO indication the two will hook up...none whatsoever. But I knew in my heart that they are meant to be so I patiently waited & rigorously observed every glance, gesture, movement, even heave & sigh...that 1 tiny sign to let me know that they do feel something for each other.

Needless to say my patience paid off...they did hook up & so marvelously at that. Just one moment then bam...the rest is history. Never ending kilig for me & for the rest of us who 'discovered' this unique, precious, wonderful, honest, pure, beautiful, joyful, fated/destined tandem that is the Kimerald...Kim AND Gerald.

4 years on and im still one of those fighting for this loveteam...this beautiful tandem who brings so much joy to me & to countless others. I tell you, since day two, from PBB forum to PEX I have been in the thick of the battle for the Kimerald. I have 'scars' to prove it too. A thankless effort that I totally embrace even if I get envious (though Im not the only long time silent supporter) whenever others gets the credit. Oh well, that's life! Soldier on...

Here I am again (together with those faceless others)...4 years to the day...fighting the same battle...PRESERVATION of the Kimerald. 4 years on but what do we hear from new Kimerald converts? They became a fan after watching Kim & Gerald TOGETHER. It's not because of Kim or Gerald -- it's because of KIMERALD.

There's 1 proven formula to achieve that number 1 spot in the ratings that I know of that KTM should apply... and fast. MORE KIMERALD SCENES TOGETHER!

Look at Sana Maulit Muli....Kimerald were barely a year in the business & this being their first ever teleserye but SMM tromped the tough competition soundly. Why? Because even in its infancy, the Kimerald loveteam is what the televiewers wanted to see.

My Girl....even if their timeslot was the 3rd late slot, it still dominated the ratings both in National & AGB...number 1. Why? Like SMM, My Girl had LOTS & LOTS of Kimerald scenes TOGETHER.

Even My Only Hope topped the ratings game and generated a non-kimerald following who eventually turned into Kimerald believers. Why? Again, because MOH had lots of Kimerald scenes TOGETHER.

Look back at Love Spells: My Boy My Girl; Charm & Crystal & Pasko na Santa Ko, Your Songs: Alive; Ngiti & Someday, Star Magic Presents:Ang lovey kung all around, MMK:BUS, Aalog-alog & even Maligno...all these shows and some Kimerald guestings won the ratings game because Kim & Gerald are the partners in these said projects. What does that tell you? KIMERALD LANG.

Why do you think Kim & Gerald's 'solo' projects were only relative successes? Because they were not KIMERALD projects. They don't need those 'solo' projects in order for them to 'grow & mature' as actors...they already have & continues to do so even when they are as Kimerald. Everyone already recognizes how good Kim & Gerald individually as actor & actress and they did it TOGETHER (I so love this word for Kimerald). Furthermore, & I'm starting to sound like a broken record with these lines, Kim & Gerald dont need to be separated in order for them to be recognized as good actors in their own merit...both of them have proven it already countless of times.

What's the good in it if only a few will watch their work because they are not together? That's why I consider Kim & Gerald's solo works SAYANG. A lot more could have seen how good they were in those projects but since it's not Kimerald, a lot bypassed watching them.

Why do you think the Kimerald detractors are trying to destroy the Kimerald loveteam? Because even they can see that it's BEING KIMERALD THAT KIM & GERALD BECOMES STRONGEST. Being Kimerald, they get the most lucrative deals, assured top rated shows and huge & loyal support. Those things are exactly what their rivals COVET.

And while they work on destroying the Kimerald -- which it seems to me in my uneducated observation their management allows -- they are also USING Kimerald & the Kimeralds (imagine their desperation of using even us fans) to further some stars' careers. Kimerald is constantly pitted against new & old talents alike even if the comparisons are so pathetic or bordering on stupidity & big insult to the Kimerald. Thank God Kimerald always comes out on top---NO thanks to their management.

Of course there are some who says they will still support Kim & Gerald's solo projects but deep down they don't really want to see them with other partners. Just look at the way EVERYBODY bashes the 3rd parties in the Kimerald's shows...even those who just sent fellers that they 'admire' Kim or Gerald.

As for myself, and I believe almost all Kimeralds feel the same way, I always have these feelings of INCOMPLETENESS -- a missing 'something' everytime I see only Kim or Gerald whether in a scene or in a picture. Why do you think everyone asks Kim or Gerald without fail where is the other everytime they are not together? That's because there is a WRONGNESS if they are apart but a RIGHTNESS when they are together. Sure, Im happy to see them but Im happiest if I see Kim & Gerald T O G E T H E R.

Kim & Gerald have 2 STRENGTHS...BEING KIMERALD & the Kimeralds. As long as the 1st is intact, the 2nd will steadfastly stay behind them. So Kim & Gerald should protect & maintain their being Kimerald AT ALL COST or it could cost them everything. Its being the Kimerald that brought them fame & fortune & will continue to be so if they stay as Kimerald.

There are sharks posing as friends eagerly awaiting for the spoils.

Gerald....the Boss...Kim's man.

This is long overdue...I didn't even thought about it...I already got a present for his birthday but what the heck, I might just as well make a Gerald piece too since I made a Kim piece last year.

With Filipinos' obsession with everything foreign, Gerald came packed with this advantage when he entered PBB way back in 2006. Luckily I followed PBB Celebrity edition so continuing that to PBBBte was natural albeit I didn't know I will be so hooked it isn't funny anymore. Gerald's video profile was the only one I watched & even half-heartedly so I didn't get to watch the rest. I had to have my sisters point out to me who is the Cebuana in the batch. When they pointed Kim out to me I said 'good...at least she's pretty'. I don't know, call it a hunch, intuition or whatever mystic word but I knew in my heart Gerald & Kim is fated to be together.

So from that night on I watched them closely. I was a little disappointed at first because well, since Kim is not the assuming type, she didn't gravitate to Gerald. BUT...a big...but...they did Kiss each other goodnight. On the cheeks. I rejoiced it, celebrated it & it sustained me for 2 long weeks together with each's separate admission that they are crushing on each other although they didn't know it.

Four years on I could say being a soldier is definitely in Gerald's blood. He doesn't have to be in the military to be one but Gerald might not realize until now that he did a brilliant strategy to win over his lady. Careful planning & effective moves were Gerald's ammunition in the love war. Gerald certainly fooled everyone OR he grew up overnight upon meeting Kim. When I first saw him I thought here is another Fil-am boy, not too many brain cells & can't last a week in PBBte. Well...I thought WRONG...Big Time.

To win Kim, Gerald needs to eliminate competition. There were too many guys & one was annoyingly persistent & assuming. What did he do? Befriended him while keeping close watch on Kim. Subtle...smooth moves but 24/7 got them haha. Okay, there's this task they have to choreograph dance steps...Gerald stood in the line in front of Kim. During breaks, he positions himself if not next to Kim but near her...he just dont talk to her that often to be less obvious. Then there was a time they were sitting around the kitchen counter...as soon as the one sitting between him & Kim vacated the seat, Gerald slowly eased himself into the chair next to Kim. The speaking of bisaya, the jokes especially the classic 'dish washing', the dancing of Don Romantiko for Kim etc....smooth moves all the way. Notice PBB early pics...even the first week pics...gerald is never far behind Kim. Good basketball player too...he knows positioning. I wondered too why when Kim got cough, Gerald got too. Then evidence starts to trickle in as more 24/7 videos were posted in YT. Gerald, you naughty boy...I thought the C2 after the duck task was the first incident you & Kim drank from the same container. The earliest I could tell was the Del Monte juice in can during the Lola Jamila task...then followed the cokes, the C2's & the water glasses. No wonder you both got sick at the same time. Speaking of being sick...when Kim was ordered to stay in bed, the boys sorrounded Kim & someone brought her oranges. What did Gerald do? He sat nearest to Kim & peeled an orange for her. Gerald, you dawg hahaha.

There were many more things that Gerald did to win Kim inside that house. Things that made me love him & Kim more & more. Those things he did convinced me that Gerald is something & he is not your typical FilAm boy. Up until now I continue to religiously follow the Kimerald, both careerwise & their personal lives. If it were a scholastic course, Im confident to be a Summa cum laude....and have a Kimerald doctorate to boot. I even laugh at the writeups about Kimerald because facts gets crossed a lot of times even with the refutable magazines. Even in interviews too. A joke really. It seems I know more than them.

Going back to Gerald...I am guilty of 1 thing...there was a time that I doubted him. It stemmed from fear & lack of information. So sorry Gerald. Never again. I hope you read this.

I attended the Blue Leaf event...as Kim made her speech, I almost split my face from smiling too much & being super kilig because I was watching you watching her with that smile on your face. I didn't see your eyes but Im sure I would expire right there & then of kilig if I ever did because Im sure your eyes shone your love for Kim. Add the fact that your mom was sitting at your right. I saw a man in love with his wife. Watching the Gensan video was suffice for me. You make a great husband for Kim, Gerald...you just did it with the knee touching gesture...so husbandly. Thank you for that. Thank you letting us see your love for Kim. I pray you remain faithfull to her as always. That's one of the qualities I so admire in you...being a one-woman man.

I am fortunate to watch you grow from a cocky young FilAm to a very responsible, God-fearing, dedicated & successful young man you are today.

Oh la la...The recently concluded Hearthrob Concert Tour just concluded & guess what...all 6 shows were very much well attended. It even became a record breaker...the most number of attendees of

a foreign event in US soil. How's that. But wait...Hearthrobs have been staged for a number of years...Why now? In recession times at that....Hmmmm

Kimerald was added only this time around & guess what...Kimeralds based in the US were finally seen & heard. Report came to me that the first tickets to be sold out were the VIP tickets...the high priced tickets were the first to go. And who gobbled up most of those VIP tickets? The US Kimeralds who we fondly calls the GLOBAL Kimeralds or GLOBIES. Man, they came in DROVES from all over the states & Canada too.

One friend in New York, Ate Annette, even complained that a supposed luncheon was to be held with VIP ticket holders gets to sit at the table of their fave stars. Guess who got filled up like a shot first? Kim & Gerald's table of course. And a long waiting list of Kimeralds were praying someone would cancel or back out. The producers even offered to seat those in the waiting list at the other artists table which have no takers but no can do. It's Kimerald's table or none at all. My friend told me she is willing to pay a high price but only for Kimerald. And no, it's not Richard Poon's table or Pokwang's who have no takers Im told. So the per table luncheon was nixed much to the dismay of my New Yorker friend. My goodness, Ate Annette went marathon shopping for Kimerald at Levi's & Hollister. She told me she bought a pair of Levis for Kim & Gerald, 5 polo shirts each at Hollister, bought Kim a pair of shoes she & Ate Amie saw at a store when they had their Kimerald bonding, a 'rare' pink I love New York mug (Ate Annette deemed it was fated that she shopped that day) for Kim & black for Gerald. And when I reminded her that Gerald loves gummy bears, well what do you know, she went to Dylan's and bought assorted gummy bears & a classy jar to put it in. Ate Annette didn't mind the rain that time. We Kimeralds WEATHER ANYTHING for Kimerald. That's no exaggeration...it's all for the love of Kimerald...the loveteam & the real life couple.

And so Ate Annette accumulated 3 bags bearing her gifts for the Kimerald. It didn't matter to her that the bags were heavy & she have to contend with the crowd at the concert. She just wants to see her beloved Kimerald in person. Which she did & she saw for herself how Kim & Gerald's faces lighted up when she told them she had gifts for them. And that made Ate Annette very very happy indeed.

Ate Annette is only 1 of the countless fans bearing gifts for the Kimerald in New York. But wait...this thing also happened in Chicago, San Diego, San Jose, LA & Texas. That's 6 states with gift bearing Kimeralds. I think the Kimerald's excess baggage is also a record breaker of sorts. Even the other stars like John Lloyd testified to this fact when he said that their dressing room became crowded because of the many gifts the Kimerald received. Pokwang said if she will be given also she would like it in cash...she will have her breast augmented & Piolo himself teased the Kimerald that they better own up to be having a relationship or else the fans will get the gifts back hahaha.

I also would like to mention that in the West too, LA particularly, my two dear friends, Tita Nini & Ate Melody were also in attendance. These two are diehard & seasoned Kimeralds who would do anything, go anywhere & spend any amount ONLY for Kimerald.

Whether they admit it or not, it's clear as crystal that the Kimerald's presence in the tour lends so much for the overwhelming success of the series. It's not bragging or taking credit...its just the truth. There was even a little misinformation in the SNN report last April 5, 2010 though its so subtle only us vigilant Kimeralds all but noticed it. I just hope Kimerald will be given the credit due them this time around.

Actually, these things like the gifts & the attendance already happened in the past but the Kimerald were not given recognition they so richly deserve. Take the 2007 Teleserye shows, the ASAP in Guam, the June 2009 Star Magic tour in the US where of all the stars only the Kimerald had a solo meet & greet, their Italy, Canada & New Jersey shows which were virtually sold out. And each & everytime of these shows, Kimerald always have excess baggage not because of the shopping they did but because of the gifts the fans gave them. What about the movie Paano na Kaya? That was 1 very very succesful movie even in the states & other parts of Europe but no, Star Cinema had their blinkers on since its the Kimerald. If you are not a part of the internet community, one will remain ignorant of these facts.

It's to be hoped that Mr M & Ms Mariole will not turn deaf ears & blind eyes to what happened in the tour. ABS CBN/Star Magic better take heed...its the KIMERALD we want & no other.

And 1 more thing they should take note...those who already love them are even more emphatic that Kimerald should NOT be separated & new Kimeralds are added every single day. Come on ABS, you know Kimerald is GREAT business for you.
