For your birthday Kim, I wish that you will have all the good life can offr you. I wish you much happiness, success in your career & endeavors, good health always, emotional strenth (you need this in your world), great love (hopefully with Gerald Anderson), wealth, wisdom & healthy spiritual life. You are a good girl so you deserve all the good wishes coming your way on your birthday.

Thanks for (together with Gerald) making me happy & proud whenever I see you together. You & Gerald have all my support especially as the Kimerald team.

MY GIRL KIM, truly funny lady!

Kim's birthday, is coming up...April 19, fyi. I feel I just have to refresh everyone on who is really effortlessly funny. Yep, that's Kim as can be seen in My Girl.

When I heard Kimerald will be doing My Girl, a Korean show, I pervently prayed Kim's take on the Jasmine role will be much different than how Korean leading ladies portray it. I noticed that Korean women tend to be over the top to the point of being somewhat Lukaret (for us Visayans, the word for it is tala-tala) just to be funny. Hope no one will get offended. That's just how I feel about them that's why I dont watch those kind of shows. If I want to watch comedy, give me Friends.

With every My Girl episode especially Kim's scenes with Christine (Alex Gonzaga) & the 'dream' sequences, it never fails to elicit loud laughter from me & from those who happen to be watching it with me. If there is someone who CAN be seamlessly funny in Philippine television, it's Kim, with Alex G coming in a close second. Even non-Kimerald fans got hooked on (Pinoy) My Girl during its high flying run on prime time. I heard a rival leading lady from a rival network alledgedly named Kimerald's My Girl as one of her fave shows. Another proof of Kim's effectivity in portraying a funny woman is our very own drunkard neighbor...a 50 something father who never fails to watch the show all because of Kim. No matter how drunk he is, come My Girl, he sobers up. That's what his daughter told me. My mom who morks in a hospital also related to me how their nurses & doctors would hurry home to catch My Girl.

Kim didn't change anything to be effectively funny. She just showed everyone her versatility as an actress. She is truly a gem & along with Gerald, its no wonder that they caught my discerning taste. Kim & Gerald together just simply lights up the screen. Be it comedy or drama, those two together is beautiful & adorable to watch. Apparently it's just not me who feels the same way because to date, EVERY Kimerald show have done not just good but excellent in the ratings game. For neophytes in 2007's Sana Maulit Muli, nobody predicted the show will be number 1 in the Philippines and certainly everyone was surprised that Sana Maulit Muli did very, very well when it was shown abroad. Sadly, this fact was lost on the people in showbiz or simply they want to ignore this Kimerald achievement. Pinoy My Girl in 2008 made it to number 1 & the most widely viewed show in the Philippines but again, showbiz downplays this. Even the Sunday afternoon show My Only Hope got unprecedented top ratings & wide viewership but again, this fact was deliverately ignored. Tayong Dalawa of 2009 brings the total to 3 of the string of number 1 Kimerald shows. This time im afraid the credit will not be given to Kimerald....AGAIN.

Even with the strong showing of the Kimerald shows, award giving bodies, be it showbiz or not refuses to give credit to where credit is due. Maybe they are just afraid they might be ridiculed or be referred to as a Kimerald fan, I dont know. It just saddens me that apparently crab metallity is still a very present character flaw of Filipinos.

Kim as a funny girl was a surprise to many but not to us avid Kimeralds. We have already seen her comedic potential in Aalog-alog. Not only Kim but Gerald as well. Even in drama, these two are getting better & better. I love how Kim acts in cying scenes because she doesnt have distracting & annoying grunts/sounds that interferes with her dialogue delivery. That's why Kim can make people cry easily at the same time clearly hears & understands what she is saying. I think the only thing Kim have to drop is her pointing finger gestures but its only a small thing. Having a lovely face is a big plus too. Like Gerald, I too love Kim's unique & beautiful face.

I have watched these two since PBBte of 2006 & they continually fascinate me. It seems to escape everyone's attention that Kim & Gerald grew & matured professionally TOGETHER & being a Loveteam. It's only to the credit of their being a loveteam that they are very succesful in their careers. It's their LOVETEAM that people love more than individually. I for one love to see them together in scenes than in scenes were the other is not in it. Even in endorsements/TV ads Im much more drawn than solo appearances of Kim & Gerald. Yep, Im a Kimerald through & through.... Kim & Gerald TOGETHER. Never to Kim or Gerald being paired to others. It will never work because its
Kimerald Lang for me.

Kim & Gerald's simultaneous tvc airings

It's simply wow that at least 4 of Kim's tvc ( and at one time 5) are airing simultaneously...Pure n Fresh, Whisper, Skin White, Close-up, Enervon and the early clips of Coke. And all products are top brands no less. Well, with Kim's drawing power (along with Gerald's) it's no wonder that companies entrusts their products with her. Being a girl, she gets to be loaded with endorsements but Gerald is also catching up. The thing is, I like to watch tvcs with Kim & Gerald on it together. It's quite funny (& rather foolish) that whenever a Kimerald tvc comes on, I run like mad in front of the tv to catch it. I mean, wherever I may be in the house, as soon as I hear it come on, I would make a mad dash, often times bumping into things on my rush. Its amazing I only feel pain afterwards & would be amazed at the havoc, sometimes, in our house I had created on my flight to catch the Kimerald tvc. After the lessons learned, my family automatically clears the way for me whenever a Kimerald tvc comes on. They want to avoid catastrophe.

I think one of the reasons why Kimerald is enundated with endorsements is because they are effective endorsees. They are effective because people know instinctively that Kim & Gerald are honest & good kids. Plus with their huge & solid fan base, it's a piece of cake for them selling the products. Well, being a huge fan of Kimerald, I buy & use products that they endorse. Yes I have a couple of Bench merchandise in my closet, yes I use Rejoice, Whisper, Close up, Skin White, yes I have Unisilver accessories, yes I buy Monami & Advance notebooks. I drink Coke for Kim & I will drink Fit n Right for Gerald alone. I'll be switching to Enervon soon. If their other endorsements are available in our area, be sure Im going to prefer them. I even stopped eating in the fastfood they previously endorsed. Well, if they got Kimerald again, I will surely eat there again.

Solo endorsements are okay but it is the joint endorsements of Kimerald that I much prefer to patronize. Anyway, here is an incomplete list of products endorsed by Kim & Gerald in 2009. Hope you'll patronize them....for Kimerald. I sure will.

Spreading the Kimerald Love

Yehey...my first ever BLOG. And folks, its going to be about my favorites most especially Kim Chiu AND Gerald Anderson, popularly known as...KIMERALD. Yep, you read it right. I know there are a lot of what other fans called ''immature''Kimeralds like me. Must be so coz Im in my late 30s for pete's sake. But, tell you what, Im happy & proud to be a solid, loyal Kimerald, so bite me.

Let's set things straight...a lot of articles get it wrong & it either make me roll my eyes or Im mildly pissed. Kim of Kimerald is Kimberly Sue Yap Chiu, born onApril 19, 1990 in Leyte but I understand her family is really from Cebu. Yes, she comes from a Fil-Chinese family but she's NOT born in China people. Erald of Kimerald is Gerald Randolf Opsima Anderson Jr, born on March 7, 1989 in Subic. His father, Daddy Randy, is from Missouri while Mom Vangie hails from General Santos City. Having introduced you to Kimerald, may No man or woman or network big boss or primadona starlet dare separate the two or they'll answer to me & the other hordes of Kimerald fans. Im not joking. Believe me. Im serious. You wont want to face a mob of 'immature' (but happy), 'single minded' (but intelligent), 'selfish' (for the love of Kimerald), solid (like a rock), loyal (Kim for Gerald - Gerald for Kim ONLY---) and beautiful (that's me...er, Im one of them) & handsome Kimerald lovers. It would be like being attack by a school of piranhas. Beware.

The fated day when I fell in love with these two lovely couple was April 23, 2006, the launch of the Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition. That same night actually. I heard that a Cebuana is among the housemates & when I took a look at Kim I instantly fell for her simple charm & beauty. Then I took a look at the other housemates on who I would like for her to be partnered with romantically. Same as Kim, it's Gerald who took my fancy. Well, he is cute & bisaya besides. Imagine my reaction when Kim was forcibly paired with YKW....ewwww, ewww, ewww....yuck. Until this day YKW still have the same effect on me....I get violent. Really.

Anyway, even on that first night I could feel a certain tickle whenever I see Kim & Gerald together. I cherished in my memory the first goodnight kiss they shared (on the cheeks...dang) on that same night with a joke by Kim thrown in. After that, it excites me to see them together. They laugh together a lot that would make you laugh with them. Kim & Gerald not only look beautiful together but they also make you smile & happy. Good thing that Kim & Gerald are genuinely good kids, no pretentions at all. They are not in your face, excessively lovey-dovey to the point of fakeness but actually very shy with each other. Both were hiding their attraction for one another & that thrilled us viewers no end. It was the little things that made us hunger for more of Kim & Gerald like their sharing in the drinking from a lone can of Del Monte juice, lone bottle of C2, lone can of coke, lone glass of water, etc. Or their washing the dishes together & laughing all the while they were doing it or the time Gerald took Kim's dinner plate so he could wash it along with his. Or the loving care & attention Gerald showered on Kim during the hair-braid task or the way these two tickled us pink during the pahiyas task, feeding the pancit to each other. The hair cut moment was also a notable Kimerald moment. And who could ever forget the Toy Kingdom moments, or the Truth or consequence or the translation moments or the water-ice game or the Globe puzzle? Kimerald love, let me count the moments. There's still a lot to be mentioned. Why did PBB never cashed in on a Kimerald PBBte moments DVD? Instead they released a YKW saturated DVD. Im told that it was not worth watching so most of us Kimeralds didnt buy the PBBte DVD. Waste of money when all you will see is YKW's face. ewwwwwwww. Peace to some who like him. I certainly dont & never will.
